In the Rosella room children have been making use of both indoor and outdoor areas for physical play such as crawling through tunnels or exploring the trikes. On Fridays Barbro has brought in her guitar so that children can explore music and movement.
In the Lorikeet Room children have really enjoyed the new tastes that they have brought from home – many children brought in foods grown in their garden – or unusual foods such as pomegranates, feijoa, limes and capers for their friends to try in Food Week. Thanks to all of the families who contributed.
Maths, science and giant pumpkins have been a feature of the Kindy room program. Children have been watching the school pumpkins grow on the vine and then were amazed when Hudson brought in his giant pumpkin. We found lots of different ways to measure it and also have been exploring recipes such as pumpkin bread, pumpkin dip and pumpkin pizza.
