Donate and Volunteer

At Sturt Street Community School, we believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to providing the best education for our students. One way to get involved and make a positive impact on your child’s education is by volunteering in our school.

Volunteering can take many forms, from helping in the classroom, assisting with special events, or serving on committees. Your involvement shows your child that you value their education and care about their school community.

Please understand that there is a process set by the education department that must be followed for individuals to become volunteers in our school. It is essential for us to provide a safe working and learning environment for everyone therefore adults volunteering are required to have Responding to Risks of Abuse, Harm and Neglect (RRHAN – EC) training,, Induction training (DfE) and a Working With Children Check (WWCC).

However, our staff are here to assist you every step of the way.

In addition to the personal satisfaction of giving back, volunteering also provides opportunities to meet other parents, gain a better understanding of what is happening in the school, and build a closer relationship with your child and their teachers.

We encourage you to consider sharing your time, skills, and expertise with our school. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact the school office on 82313100 to discuss available opportunities and to learn more about the process.
