Visual Arts is taught across all year levels by a specialist teacher.
As part of the Drama curriculum, Sturt Street presents an end of year performance each year. The performances alternate between an end of year celebration concert and a major school musical.
We have been fortunate to have the talents and enthusiasm of our Community Development Coordinator, Kat Ochan, to write an original work for the musical which incorporates ideas and themes from the students throughout the year.
Past musicals have been The Mighty Murray Musical (centred around the conservation of the Murray River), Remember When? (about the history of the school), Sturt Street’s Got Talent and Interview with the Wolf.
The Sturt Street Community of students, staff and parents all get involved with costuming, props and rehearsals to give our students a performance experience that is always a wonderful night for all
